Ecuadorian Skyscraper Revealed
Phillipe Starck is the latest to join a recent line-up of architectural unveilings in Ecuador, such as BIG and MAD.
The design exhibits a lush and oasis-like design for the skyscraper, which is slated to be a hotel, that seeks to enhance interactions between its inhabitants.
Non-Denominational Worship Space in Hampshire
A space of worship for all religions has been completed in Hampshire by James Gorst Architects.
Named the White Eagle Lodge the temple structure is surrounded by a highly considered landscape that inevitably leads its inhabitants into a space of contemplation.
The design of the temple is able to accomplish a multitude of spaces progressing from secular to more religious in appearance by using a limited and serene palette of materials. You can read more details about the design here.
ARQBR Church in Brasília
When it comes to designing a new structure in the Brazilian capital, Brasília, there are big shoes to fill. ARQBR has risen to the challenge with a new church that remains aligned with the well-established design by Oscar Niemeyer.
The circular building seems to hover above the ground. Inside, ceiling windows allow natural light to shine from above evoking a religious presence as well as giving the relatively small space a similar sense of awe as larger churches. More here.
