Poly Centre, Sydney

At 210 George Street, in Sydney’s CBD, is the new Poly Centre designed by Grimshaw. The building features concrete arches that extend 11 storeys above George Street. According to Grimshaw, the concrete has been tinted with a very slight green in order to evoke the surrounding native eucalyptus plant. Just behind the concrete façade sits the main building clad in curved glass which adds a subtle softness and distinction from typical contemporary designs.
